Archives media player is here
Now you can find, play and download audio and video podcasts from The National Archives.
The National Archives have released their new Archives Media Player. Their aim is to bring together a huge amount of historical multimedia content into one convenient place.
It has never been easier to browse through categories. The site is interactive and you can choose to search by title, keyword and even speaker.
The media player has been broken down into different sections: Family, Military and Political history, Law and order, International and Archivists and archives. Once you click on a specific category you first see the top four results for that section. The kind TNA folks have added a ‘view all’ button at the bottom of each and this opens a whole world of sight and sound. They have also thoughtfully put together a mini series colllection on the website.
The National Archives are also urging users to leave comments regarding individual podcasts and rate them for other users.
You can find the Archive Media Player here.
