Meet the YFT Team

Here you can meet the team who compile Your Family Tree magazine each month, and who you can contact directly through the forum and website.

Meet the YFT team, and contact them here

1. Adam Rees, Editor

Welshman Adam is the editor of the magazine, writing, editing and conversing with family historians up and down the country. As a history buff, Adam’s specialist subjects include the Napoleonic Wars, World War I and Dark Age Britain. If you have an idea for the magazine, he’s the man you need to talk to.

2. Alex Duce, Art Editor

Alex is the man who makes YFT look utterly brilliant each issue. He can also be found occasionally on our social media pages, and is often on the forum talking with our readers on all manner of subjects – from TV genealogy programmes, to Jack the Ripper!

3. Lizi Brown, Production Editor

Originally from Northern Ireland Lizi studied social and economic history and politics at university in Sheffield. She’s always been interested in the RMS Titanic since she was a girl, especially as her great-grandfather worked on the ship… she always maintains it was fine when it left Belfast.

4. Annabel Andrews, Community Editor

Annabel is the person to speak to if you want to write us a case study, send us a story of a skeleton in your closet or have a question answered by one of our experts. She also edits the website. When not working, Annabel likes sewing and swimming.
