Nottinghamshire records

To go with our region guide to the county of Nottinghamshire, we’ve got two sets of data from the county for you to look at.
Anguline Research Archives have provided an extract of Kelly’s 1895 Nottingham and
Derby Directory. The section in the extract lists the private residents of Nottingham.
Direct Resources have given readers all the names from three files from the 1855 Post Office Nottinghamshire directory. The settlements included are Nottingham, Newark and Mansfield.

Reader research stories from the archive

Lost at the Somme – The tragic death of a 21-year-old Lewis gunner at the battle of the Somme
Saving his future wife – How a chance online discovery led to the truth behind a courageous act in post Civil War America
